Confucius

Confucius lived from 551 to 479 B.C. Confucius taught that social order depended upon ethical conduct (for everyone). Political leaders as well as the subjects needed to recognize all human dignity. The love between a parent and child represents the ultimate in respect between humans. Many Confucians believe that China should operate in the same manner. The people should listen to their leaders and the leaders should look after the people.
